Translated, it means... Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives' tales. Spend your time and energy in training yourself for spiritual fitness.
Which means don't waste your time with petty things, believing or arguing about things that have no revelance. Instead, use that time to train yourself in order to strengthen your spirit and get closer to God.

i love this verse because its about worldy wisdom wich is something we get all the time. Its basicly saying'don't take wisdom from man, only from God. For ex. A wise man told me that if something feels good to you than it's good for you. Thats the most false thing i have ever heard. Think of how happy a drug addict would be to hear that. Yet people around me thought it was very wise thing to say. I'm so glad God sent his word
