hades( greek )/hell\sheol( hebrew ), abrahams bosom/paradise and the lake of fire are all different places, hades or sheol is the name of the place..like the name of a state, but abrahams bosom/paradise and hell are 2 different places like 2 cities in a state. the LORD said in Luke 23:43(King James Version)
"43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise."
....now heres something else to help out, when Jesus died he first descended into hades ( greek ) and removed the part called abrahams bosom/paradise and all the righteous spirits in it,closeing that part of hades/sheol forever-Ephesians 4:8-10 (King James Version)
8Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
now that paradise/abrahams bosom is in heaven( Gods abode )the saved go there and the unsaved go to hades/sheol,till the final judgement-Revelation 20 (King James Version)
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
