There is nothing wrong with it, generally speaking, because Catholics actually are Christians. Catholicism is just one of the many denominations in Christianity.
Here's where things get tricky: most Christians believe that we are saved by having faith in Jesus Christ. However, Catholics believe we are saved by faith in addition to good works. Additionally, most Christians don't believe in praying to priests or asking them for forgiveness, but most Catholics do. So although you may not see any immediate problems now, you may in the future. But at the very least you both are Christians (just different denominations) so I believe you two can work things out.

It's not another "religion," it's just another denomination (like a sub-group) of Christianity. Also, because Catholicism was started after the completed Bible, I do not believe that it would be mentioned anywhere in there.
I would have to disagree with Lupe to say Catholics are Christians. They arent, they are Catholics.. they don't believe that faith in Jesus alone is the way to salvation.

This scripture clearly shows that many people who believe that Jesus is Lord will not go to heaven. Because even though they believed him to be Lord they put their faith in their own works instead of his sacrifice alone. So to say someone is a Christian just because they believe that Jesus is Lord is false, and in Catholicism they don't believe the sacrifice of Christ can fully cover our sins, that we must confess all of our sins to a priest followed by saying Hail Marys and all this. So my advice is if you really care about the girl, to witness to her that Christ paid the full penalty for sin on the Cross and said "it is finished". I personally would not get into a relationship with someone from a different faith
