Communion is not taken in my church ( salvation Army) is it ok to take communion anyways?

I kno it says in the bible to be this untill Jesus returns for his people. But my church dont do it and i am in the process of becoming an officer(preacher). What am i to do ?

I would not take communion, if anyone wanted to give it id suggest they donate it to the salvation army relief efforts. but that's just my opinion.
