As a Christian, I would strongly advise you to get back to your husband. As long as he is alive, going to any other man, in the Bible's point of view, is adultery. You cannot please God outside this marriage. You may think that you won't please Him either within this marriage but if you hand it over to God then He will perform miracles.
I know this isn't any easy advice to swallow down but if you're a Christian then please, for the glory of God, come back to your husband and pray. Pray that God would work in both your hearts and lives. Pray that your son will no longer feel this ache inside of him. Pray that your son will see the love you both have for him.
I congratulate you for ending it with that guy for the sake of your son, but more so you should be doing it all for the sake of Christ.
I know it's not easy. I understand it's tough having to be with someone when your heart is not in it. I know what it means to bear with the pain that someone poses on you. Pray. Pray that this pain would become a peace. Pray that the sorrow will become a song of gladness. Pray that your heart, instead of not being in it, will instead love being in it.
I will be praying for you also. If you need anything else or if you'd like to fight your case, please do. We are all here to support you and help you and, most importantly, pray for you.
