Extra Question Details:

My immediate family has often sinned, and not asked the Lord for forgivence. I want to accept the Lord Jesus into my heart, but I am afraid that my family will not agree with me. What should I do? I know that it is sin for me not to do what my parents say.

Your family cannot save you. Each one of us will be responsible for our own salvation. You need to be saved regardless if your family approves or disapproves.

Only God can save you. It's great that you respect your family, but God comes first above all things. In every family there must be a first. Maybe you are the first in your family.

Matthew 10:28
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

Hebrews 13:6
"So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Which means, do not be afraid of what your parents might think, be afraid of God instead but with respect. One day your parents will stand infront of God as well and they will have to give an account of all their actions.

Turn to God. Ask Jesus to help you. Ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior. He will help you. You have to trust in God. If your parents get angry and disown you, just remember

Psalm 27:10
"Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me."

God is with you and He will be with you always. Trust God and ask Him into your heart.

Thank you. I was afraid of praying for help because of the Ten Commandments. Many of your other posts have helped me, and I hope the Lord will accept you into the heavens.

Thank you, that was very sweet of you to say. I write what the Lord places in my heart to write. I am glad I was able to help both now and in the past. To God be the glory. May God bless you....and never be afraid to pray. That's what our Father in heaven is there for.
He will provide you with the answers by using someone else as the vessel in which He will speak through.
