Extra Question Details:

I asked a similar question earlier: I've recently been getting these weird states where I think God is telling me not to do something even if it's something I always do and that my christian friends do as well. my christian counselor told me to be careful that I don't confuse feelings with God. Things as weird as not eating because there are people starving in the world have come up. I don't want to do anything wrong but also don't want to give something up unless it's 100% necessary.

And this is the reason why you must check with the Bible. If something is not outright stated in the Bible, then we can usually form conclusions based off of the information that we have. Of course, you should also pray about it and see what the Holy Spirit is telling you.

As for the hunger problem, it is not wrong of you to enjoy your own blessings (the fact that you have food). As for the counselor, they are right, be sure not to confuse feelings with God. Also be careful that Satan and his influence is not trying to trick you (1 Peter 5:8-10) because we know that he can. So again, make sure to verify it with the Bible, a pastor, a counselor, or ask questions on here if you are not too sure.

Praying for you!
