I grew up Lutheran, infant-baptized and young-teen confirmed. My grandpa and grandma helped me to become born-again when I was in high school. Should I reaffirm my teen vows or become born-again anew? I dont attend church anymore.
Extra Question Details:
My husband has a similar story to mine. Baptized Lutheran, then raised Pentecostal. We are truck drivers and cannot attend any church regularly so we just try to read and research the best we can. We want to be ready for the end of time. Can we fall back on the the rebirth of our teen years or should we recommit anew? My feeling is that I can repent each day and receive a new slate from God whereas my husband seems to think he has an all-time free pass for being reborn. your replies are so appreciated.

personally i think you should both recommit. mainly because you seem to feel convicted towards it. as a child you did not make the choice to accept Jesus as your savior. your parents did. so with that in mind i believe you should both in your own hearts accept Jesus into your lives and ask him for forgiveness.
you are both right in your last statement in the fact that your husband is right that after you have accepted the lord Christ Jesus you do not have to keep asking for forgiveness, BUT it is a great habbit to have. constantly asking for forgiveness helps you become aware of the things you do every day that are sinfull. do it as soon as you commit a sin. dont wait. just stop what you are doing and say Lord im sorry for that. no matter what it was. but you dont recieve a "new slate". the same clean slate he gives you when you accept him stays clean forever because he died for that sin. if the slate were to fill up then that would be like saying he never got off the cross.
another thing i would like to tell you is that alot of christian churches are apart of orginizations. some span the country. this way if you decide to go to a certain church and you like it they might be apart of a orginazation that follows the same teachings. this way you can find a church where ever you might be. hope this helps. God bless
If your question is centered around being "re-baptized" then, the answer (in my opinion) is no, you do not have to do that.
As far as the repentance daily and what not, it is important that you understand, that it is NOT about rules.
If you feel convicted by the Holy Spirit and feel you have been disobedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and have walked unfaithfully against the LORD's will in your life, then you should go to the LORD and ask HIM to forgive your disobedience and to strengthen your faith and trust in HIM.
Then ask HIM to give you the strength to live your life according to HIS will and not your own. If you do this, as often as you feel the need to, then the LORD will surely lift you up and accept your humbleness before HIM.
Peace in Christ
