I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this Vladimir Putin story in the news.
Extra Question Details:
Breifly it says that an icon of Vladimir Putin is seeping myrrh and that it is a sign from God telling us of his gracious presence. This is coming from a cult that says that Putin is a reicarnation of ST. Paul the Apostle.

Dear Newpath, since you ask for an "opinion", here it is. Articles and reports like this are worthless and/or misguiding distractions that should be ignored by Christians. An 'icon' (Bust? Statue? Paiting?) seeping myrrh is an oddity---assuming it isn't a fraud. Even if true, I don't see how you can interpret it as a sign of God's gracious presence.
The Bible does not support the idea of reincarnation. Hebrews 9:27-28 says, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.(KJV)"
There is a big difference between reincarnation and resurrection. The idea of reincarnation involves the soul or spirit returning not just in a different life but quite likely in a different form. Only a few people make any claim of remembering previous incarnational lives.
A person who is resurrected (in the Biblical sense) returns either in the same body or else in the same form or essence, and knows his/her former self and life. Since reincarnation does not happen, and there is no indication that Putin knows that he is St. Paul the Apostle, I think we can put this story in the circular file.
Thanks for sharing that, i kinda thought it was hype but i read the reincarnation part without thinking. Even at the end Putin's press secretary cautioned agianst worshiping false idols.
