I'm a little worried about Hell and the people?

Apparently I've been learning too much about Hell and what appears there (ever seen "Gates of Hell"? I was watching that for a while). That worries me a lot, I look back to billions of people who had not followed Christ yet. I can't put God into this because it was WE who made the decision. I've just never felt this way before as a Christian. I know it's our role as Christians to spread the good news of God, and it's not going quite what I wanted. I just want everybody to have peace when they die, not Eternal torture.
i'm just having bad thoughts. I would NEVER call myself a fearful Christian. That 'Gates of Hell' puts a little fear on other nonreligious people (like atheist). Hell is REAL. Can someone help me out? I'm kinda stunned lol... i keep thinking to myself, 'when will Jesus return to set things right'.

I can tell you now that I have the same problem, it happened when I started reading Dante's Inferno. Sometimes we as Christians get scared when we learn more about what's going to happen to people, and them not finding out Hell is real until it's too late. One thing I always do when I think about the fear of Hell is focus on my favorite Bible verse which is 1 John 4 18, check that verse out, and let me know.
