Is it safe for a 12 year old to have a website?

A girl I know is twelve, almost thirteen and wanted to post videos on youtube. Her parents said no, and thats very understandable. Then she said why dont I have a website and post my webshow there? And then her parents said no. Now, she just wants to have a regular blog on a website since her parents said no to the webshow. What is your opinion?

As arsenome said, it depends. I had a website when I was 12 years old and it was completely safe as I gave absolutely no personal information. Now if she can keep her blog relatively anonymous then I don't see much of a problem.
As for Zukeon, your answer is an opinion, not a fact. True the Bible says to stay away from things that can cause an addiction, but how do you know that having a blog would cause that 12 year old to be addicted? You couldn't possibly know that unless you knew them in person. People can become addicted to anything. People can become addicted to the Internet, so does that mean you (Zukeon) should not use the Internet? If your answer is "yes," then why are you yourself on the internet?
