Is Jesus the Father
I have been studying the Bible, and the more I have studied the more I have question some common beliefs in Christianity.
1st is that Jesus says in John 3:13 that he was on earth and in heaven at the same time. So does that mean he prayed to himself?
John3:13
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Here he clearly says that he is in heaven yet on earth at the same time.
And also.. after Jesus told his disciples to Baptize in the NAME of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. People were always baptized in the name of Jesus.. which leads me to believe the Jesus is the father the son and the holy spirit.
Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 19:5 On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

God sent himself in flesh as Jesus. So that is how Jesus can be in heaven and on earth at the same time. The holy trinity is the father, the son, and the holy spirit. Jesus walked the earth as the son.
I thought that the Trinity teaches that there are 3 Persons of God. That Jesus is not the father and not the Holy Spirit, that they are all God by nature but separate persons of God.
thats right. They are all part of God. And the part of God who walked this earth in flesh and blood is Jesus the son
So how can there be 3 persons of God when the Bible says there is 1 person of God? from my understanding of reading the Bible The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is all Jesus, 1 person of God
If someone does believe there are 3 different persons of God, how could you explain the following verse?
Job 13:8-10
Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye [so] mock him?
He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
Seems to me from this verse in the Old Testament that he knew people would end up thinking he was more than 1 person.. but this verse says he is 1 person
hope it helps:

I used to struggle with understanding this, myself. God is 3 persons all at the same time.
1. God the Father = The Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, The Creator of ALL things!
2. The Son = God in the flesh, in human form (Jesus)
3. The Holy Spirit = God's presence, His awesome power and love!
God can be everywhere all at once, and be all 3 parts of the Trinity all at once!
