I'm 18 year olds I have recently joined the United States Marine Corps, and the last time I saw my Grandmother she gave me a figurine of a saint. Its about an inch tall its gold and very old. Its what I believe to be a Parton Saint, and I dont know which one. He has his hands in the middle of his chest and he is holding a heart. I was hoping someone might know who this is. Im not relgious but I have also recently started reading the KJV of the Bible. I'm curious so any help would be greatly apperciated.
Thank you

"Its what I believe to be a Parton Saint" I don't really know what that is, as I am also 18, but if by saints you mean Jesus Christ's disciples, its none of them. Because no one is this generation has seen the face of the Saints and Jesus Christ, even if they did, its only that Jesus Christ chose to appear to them, and they wouldn't make statues of Christ or his disciple's for one of the 10 commandments as people would like to call them, is, do not make any graven images of the earth below and the heaven above, and if you really want to be a saint you don't need a statues motivation, for its not because of the statue, its because of your grandma's generosity, for love your grandma, and not the statue. As you said your reading the KJV bible, I strongly support you in this, for 2 years from now if you continue reading you will definitely be a changed man.

If this is the same saint you are referring to, he is not holding a heart. The Patron Saint is holding a cross in one hand and a pigeon or a dove in the other. St.Francis of Assisi is honored by the Catholic Church as the patron saint of animals and ecology.

The bible does not mention this person, only the catholic church.
