Should I tell the wife the husband is finically in debt to family and friends?
My husband's brother borrowed $2,200 from us and never paid us back. He has since called my husband literally crying to borrow thousands more. My husband confronted him about his families lavish lifestyle and spending habits. He asked if his wife knew about their financial situation. He said she was not aware. My husband said you need to tell her today. Call me when you do. Well he never called back. He is in debt 70K+ to friends and family, not including the debt his wife knows about. He has ruined his dad's credit and left him unable to pay his bills. My in-laws are all christians. My concern is the wife confided in me she is battling depression and can not seem to beat it. I feel so convicted to tell her because I think the depression stems from the confusion about what is really going on in their house. My brother in laws spending and debts has also gotten much worse over the past few months. To the point he almost got arrested for financial reasons.
