Tithing
Extra Question Details:
When we tithe, I know we have to give 10% of our earnings but does it have to be to the church only? If I use that tithe to bless my friends and family in form of gifts, dinner, blessings,clothes.... whatever does that still count as tithing or not? Reason why im asking this is because at least I am aware of where my 10% goes whereas in a church sometimes feel like they are using my money to upgrade their Plasma tv screens in the church or something similar when I couldve used the money to bless people who i know who need it...

Feelings are not a good scale for weighing reality on. A solid verdict can not be reached that way. You should openly ask the pastor (or whoever handles tithes). A honest ministry has nothing to hide, and should no hesitate in telling where funds go.
It's commendable that you want to bless your family and friends, but that is giving, not tithing. Giving is blessing others. Tithing is setting a portion apart for the Lord.
Keyword: Lord. A true tithe goes to the Lord directly. Right now, your money is going to friends, not the Lord. No, giving gifts to others does not count as tithe.
