Simply "dating" a non-believer is not a sin, but it is highly NOT recommended! The ultimate purpose of dating is to find a spouse, and the Bible states we are not to be unequally yoked with non-believers in marriage.

So are you at risk of loosing salvation? Nope, but you are at risk in being in a miserable marriage (if you happened to marry him). A common factor that goes wrong in these types of situations is the spiritual clashing.

If you believe in God, but your boyfriend doesn't, how can one agree on other important issues in which your spirituality may be the determining factor?

If your boyfriend does become a Christian at some point, then it should be of his own free-will. Of course, you can try and persuade him, but let him TRULY believe by letting him believe on his own.
