Extra Question Details:

I am a recent convert. God has kept faith with me, and has shown me a better way and how I must change.

Despite my sins and my previous life of "low" moral character, I now find that when i read the bible, I interpret Gods message in a very strict mannor. Whilst I will condem the sin and not the sinner, I find it hard to accept certain modern day life style practices as anything other that against the word of God and the teaching of our Lord Jesus and I therefore believe that Freedom comes from the Spirit and not the flesh. Is this just the Lords way? Should i proceed where he guides me?

Friend i am in agreement with you on interpreting the word of god in a strict manor. A lot of Christians these days push boundaries of what the actual scripture says, but there are no idle words in the bible. Just because in one part of the bible it says: there is no way to god except through believing in his son doesn't mean in another part it doesn't say that we must also keep his commandments. so just believing in Christ is not enough, which is a popular belief by a lot of people who don't read the actual scriptures.
