Why did the Lord allow John the Baptist be beheaded
Extra Question Details:
I don't know why the Lord allowed John the Baptist be beheaded after John had done so much for the Lord. I find this story hard to believe. I don't believe that the Lord would have betrayed John and let him die such a vicious and senseless death as that. Please help me understand this.
I love the Lord, he loves me and I cannot believe He would let that happen to a man that has done so much for the Lord.

Think of it more like this, John the Baptist indeed did a lot for The Lord, and it was a very tough time. But letting him die is not betraying him, as John can join the Lord in Heaven quicker. If you didn't know all the Apostles except for John (apostle) were killed, some in quite horrific ways.
Thank you very much for your answer.
Your answer was just as my senses told me the reason was for his death.
And that was to come and be with God now.
I just needed to hear it from another person to be able to have peace with this.
Thanks Again, and God bless you for your answer.
Each dedicated their lives to the cause and each died for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Although they died horribly, they died valiently. If I had to give my life for the Lord, I would gladly do so as well. It's not a punishment to die for the Lord, it's an honor.
Though we don't know all the answers, these deaths were not in vain, they each opened the door to a new chapter in the gospel for the kingdom of God.
Thank you for your answer. Your answer was just as my senses told me it was. But I still needed to hear another persons thought on this so I can put it to rest. I know the Lord does a lot of things that we will not clearly understand because He is God. I have heard that all the apostles have died a brutal death themselves.
Thanks Again for your answer, and God bless you for you kindness.
