Extra Question Details:

At church in my youth, all the teenagers that are fixing to start high school, hardly ever talk about God, there is profanity, they go there to start a bunch of He said-she said, drama. Where is the peace? There are 15 or 20 of us. but the number of teens there that talk about God, you can count on one hand. It just seems that everybody is too wrapped up in their own lives to even think about God.

Matthew 22:14
"For many are called, but few are chosen."

That is exactly what this scripture is talking about.

Matthew 7:20
"Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions."

1 John 2:15
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Apparently they are too busy worried about the things of this world and not the things of God. Some of the youth may be there because their parents go to church there, so therefore their hearts are not completely in it, or they still have not grasp the concept of who God is in their lives.

Continue to follow God, keep your eyes focused on Him and what's most important. On judgement day everyone will be judged, the good and the bad. And we shall also be judged on our works and how we behaved. Our rewards in heaven whether great or small will be determined by the actions we have here on earth.

I'm impressed and proud of you. Being in the same youth class, you apparently have God in your heart, and know who God is as well as what position He has in our lives. Continue with that feverent commitment, I feel you are going to be used in the ministry of God in big ways.

Unfortunately, all teens struggle with what the Bible says at 2 Timothy 2:22 “...the desires incidental to youth...”.
The complete scripture reads this way: 2 Timothy 2:22 "So, flee from the desires incidental to youth, but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call upon the Lord out of a clean heart."

No doubt you would agree that as a young person it takes courage to do what is right and resist the Devil's crafty acts in this world we live in. I commend you for wanting to live by God's standards.

Ephesians 2:1-2 says: "Furthermore, [it is] YOU [God made alive] though YOU were dead in YOUR trespasses and sins, 2 in which YOU at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience."

Your peers are walking according to the ruler of the authority of the air which can only be the Devil and are showing manifestations of that air or spirit. You say they go to church simply to start “drama” and use profanity. All of their gossip and unclean speech is also due to the fact that are allowing themselves to succumb to the world's spirit. 1 John 5:19 says: “We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.” So that scripture explains why it is important to resist the spirit of the world. It is lying in the power of Satan, the wicked one.

The spirit of the world breeds a spirit of disobedience and rebellion and peer pressure is one way in which this authority is exercised so there is need for you to be careful about who you associate with.

Remember what 1 Corinthians 15:33 says: "Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits."

Most people ignore the very beginning but it is as important as the latter part of that scripture. We should not let ourselves be misled.

Please don't think that you can associate with these young people and not be affected in some way. I encourage you to pray to God to not let your thinking be corrupted and to seek out friends that seek to live according to God's standards as you do.
